Former Ohio State athlete faces new legal trouble after crash

PITTSBURGH, Pennsylvania — Former Ohio State University and NFL quarterback Terrelle Pryor is the target of a civil lawsuit filed by three women injured in a crash on Pittsburgh’s South Side earlier this year, CBS News reported.

According to CBS, the women accuse Pryor, driving a Tesla Cybertruck, of running a red light while speeding, then crashing with their SUV, which flipped and slammed into a traffic signal post.

The complaints, submitted in Allegheny County court, assert that the Cybertruck Pryor was operating lacked insurance at the time of the May 31 incident and that he failed to apply the brakes from the moment he entered the intersection until impact, WTAE reported. The women claim serious injuries including broken bones and muscle damage.

According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Pryor is a standout at Jeannette High School and former Buckeyes quarterback from 2008-10. The new lawsuits demand a jury trial and hold Pryor accountable in operating a motor vehicle recklessly.

CBS News said as of now, no criminal charges have been filed by Pittsburgh prosecutors in connection with the crash.
