Chelsea cruised to a 3-0 Premier League win over a toothless Wolves side. Wolves went to Stamford Bridge under interim coach James Collins with a back five. He would have been delighted to go into the break with a clean sheet. That said, the visitors not only failed to hit the target, they did not have a shot on goal at all in the first 45 minutes. Although, due to their recent dismal form, they were simply to be happy to be in the game. Chelsea were less happy. In the first half they were unable to raise their game sufficiently, drawing a few boos at half-time from the Chelsea fans.
As well as Wolves had done, the work was all undone only six minutes after half-time. From an Alejandro Garnacho cross, Malo Gusto found himself unmarked in the six-yard box to head home his first Chelsea goal. Wolves reacted positively, enjoying their best spell in the game, without really testing Robert Sanchez in the Chelsea goal. At the other end of the field, Liam Delap wasn't able to offer any threat to the Wolves goal. He was replaced by Estevao, who within 60 seconds of coming on as a substitute, created a goal for Joao Pedro.
Things got worse for Wolves, as Pedro Neto made it 3-0 with just over a quarter of an hour to go. As well as Wolves defended in the first-half, by now they looked every bit the relegation fodder they've been billed as. Meanwhile, teenage Brazilian attacker Estevao looked the best player on the pitch during his 25-minute substitute appearance. Chelsea were back to winning ways after their midweek Champions League draw, with Estevao looking like a star in the making.

MixCollage-08-Nov-2025-09-11-PM-7792
GK: Robert Sanchez - 6/10
Largely a spectator given Chelsea's domination of the ball.
RB: Malo Gusto - 6.5/10
Popped up with the first goal of his Chelsea career to completely change the complexion of the game.
CB: Wesley Fofana - 6/10
With Chelsea in complete control he was rarely challenged to do much defending.
CB: Trevoh Chalobah - 6/10
Really not tested as Chelsea dominated the possession.
LB: Marc Cucurella - 6/10
Solid enough without having to be anywhere near his best.
CM: Moises Caicedo - 6/10
Not really needed for his defensive qualities as Wolves were found wanting in offering any real attacks.
CM: Enzo Fernandez - 7.5/10
Showed some good touches, but like many of his team mates, wasn't required to be at his very best in this game.
RW: Pedro Neto - 6/10
Showed signs of his pace, but didn't quite find his top gear.
AM: Joao Pedro - 6/10
Really not able to play make on any level as he struggled to connect with Delap, but he had a great link up with Estevao.
LW: Alejandro Garnacho - 6/10
Unable to find the necessary cutting edge on a frustrating evening for the Argentine.
CF: Liam Delap - 4/10
He worked hard, but looked pedestrian and not really a goal threat in any way. It was no real surprise he was taken off.
SUB: Estevao - 8/10 - Player of the Match
Made an instant impression, as within 60 seconds of his introduction he beat his man and laid on Chelsea's second goal for Pedro.
SUB: Reece James - 6/10
Given the last 13 minutes, as Chelsea had already won the game.
SUB: Marc Guiu - 6/10
Late run out with the game already won for Chelsea.
SUB: Andrey Santos - 5/10
The game had long been over as a contest when he came on.
SUB: Jamie Gittens - 5/10
A late run out with Wolves already well beaten.
Wolves Player Ratings
Hugo Bueno
GK: Sam Johnstone - 6.5/10
Would have no doubt been hoarse from the time spent cajoling the defenders in front of him.
RB: Jackson Tchatchoua - 5/10
Put in an honest enough shift, but in the end was found wanting.
CB: Santiago Bueno - 5/10
Like many of the Wolves side, was exposed by Chelsea in what was eventually a convincing loss.
CB: Ladislav Krejci - 6/10
Left with more than his fair share of work as Chelsea dominated the ball.
CB: Toti Gomes - 5/10
Will not want to see the replay of Malo Gusto's headed goal, with the Chelsea player running of off him in the six yard box.
LB: Hugo Bueno - 5/10
Like Gomes, will no doubt avoid viewings of Gusto's goal, as he failed to track the Chelsea man's run prior to scoring.
RM: Jean-Ricner Bellegarde - 5/10
Overrun at times as the frailties of Wolves were put on full show.
CM: Andre - 6.5/10
Looked excellent in flashes, but under pressure with so many Chelsea attacks.
LM: Joao Gomes - 6.5/10
With Andre, offered the best, albeit brief moments of good play for Wolves.
CF: Jorgen Strand Larsen - 5.5/10
With Wolves unable to mount many attacks, he wasn't really in the game as an attacking threat.
CF: Hwang Hee-Chan - 5.5/10
Pretty much starved in an attacking capacity, but was a willing runner to help defend the ball high up the park.
SUB: Marshall Munetsi - 5/10
Given a late run out but unable to offer anything.
SUB: Mateus Mane - 5/10
Got some minutes under his belt on another difficult evening for Wolves.
