Overachieving rookies from all over the league saw big leaps in their overall ratings as high as +8. Superstars validating their leading positions in the league with their strong performance early in this season also got an increase in their OVR rating, pushing them even higher.
Leading the charge is this season's possible MVP, Luka Doncic, who rises to 97 OVR from 95. This puts him closer to the ratings of other MVP candidates this season, with leading leaders Nikola Jokic and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander with 98 OVR ratings, and tying with Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Both Victor Wembanyama and Stephen Curry also got a small boost to their OVR ratings, now sitting at 95 OVR after a 1-point boost.
The 76ers have also been proving their doubters wrong this season, with a strong performance from Tyrese Maxey and rookie V.J. Edgecombe. The rookie gets a +5 boost to now have an 81 OVR Rating, thanks to his strong debut on opening week, while Tyrese Maxey rises to an 88 OVR Rating with a +3 boost.
Joining Edgecombe in the list of overperforming rookies are Kon Knueppel (79, +4), Jeremiah Fears (78, +5), and our strongest improvements, Cedric Coward (80, +8) and Ryan Kalkbrenner (78, +8).
The very competitive start to this season has treated fans with strong performance from many teams, with a lot of role players and starters earning recognition both from fans, the internet, and the 2K Team, like Rookie of the Year Stephon Castle (84, +2), and Keyonte George (82, +4).
Finally, some stars are now entering their primes, with remarkable performances that prove that they're worth every hype their fans push behind them, like Jalen Johnson (85, +4), Josh Giddey (85, +3), Lauri Markkanen (87, +3), and Austin Reaves (88, +3).
There aren't a lot of regressions so far in this season, aside from Cooper Flagg now falling from 82 to 80, making him now the second-highest rated Rookie of this draft class, just behind Edgecombe. You can find a full list of all adjustments on the Official NBA 2K26 Ratings page.
