Thomas Frank described Manchester United and Tottenham as "two very even teams" after the draw on Saturday.

For the second time in eight days United let a one-goal lead slip yet came from behind to earn a draw. Bryan Mbeumo put the Reds ahead with a smart header in the first half before a late Spurs fightback saw them lead 2-1 in stoppage time.

Matthijs de Ligt saved the day for United as he scored an equaliser in the 96th minute to earn a point for his side.

Frank was asked by TNT Sports to reflect on the game, saying: "We need to acknowledge that it is two very even teams. I think they want to defend quite well, we probably want to defend quite well and that doesn’t make it easy to make big chances.

"We look back and we gave away five shots in the game. That is, on paper, an unbelievable defensive performance. In many ways it was a positive defensive performance, in my opinion."

The draw was the first meeting between the two sides since Tottenham's Europa League triumph over United in Bilbao back in May.

United head into the November international break unbeaten in their previous five outings, although they have now drawn two games in a row.

Next up for Ruben Amorim's side is a home game with Everton before a trip to Crystal Palace and a home clash with West Ham.
