Jhon Arias has spoken openly about his time at Wolverhampton Wanderers, saying he feels calm and confident despite the team’s poor start.
In an interview with [**Caracol Radio**](https://caracol.com.co/2025/11/07/jhon-arias-en-su-regreso-a-la-seleccion-colombia-sonar-con-ganar-el-mundial/), ahead of Colombia’s friendlies against New Zealand and Australia – which [**he won’t be part of**](https://sportwitness.co.uk/they-dont-understand-wolves-omission-surprises-journalists/) – the winger discussed his adaptation, the Premier League challenge, and his long-term goals.
_“It’s a moment of changes at the club,”_ Arias said. _“We’ve had a complex start, very different from what we planned, but hopefully things will improve. This is a time to show ambition and the desire to compete at a higher level, and hopefully we can achieve the goals we’ve set.”_
#### Focusing on small goals
When asked about Wolves’ priorities, Arias was direct. _“We have different objectives. The first is to improve in order to win. It’s been a very difficult start, and there’s real concern and urgency to get results. The Premier League is so competitive that you have to fight for every point. One of our main goals is to stay up, but that’s not the only one.”_
His remarks reveal a realistic view of the club’s position, without losing optimism. The Colombian stressed that success will depend on consistency, effort, and teamwork rather than quick fixes.
#### Standing by his decision
Despite recent speculation from Brazil suggesting he might be unsettled, Arias dismissed any notion of regret. _“Would I sign for Wolves again? Yes, totally. I’m very calm about my decision. I knew there would be difficulties, but I like challenges because they’re the best way to grow and learn… by stepping out of your comfort zone. Days of glory and joy will come.”_
The 28-year-old has not appeared regularly since his arrival under former coach Vítor Pereira. Now there’s hope that the situation shifts with Rob Edwards.
Although Wolves’ form remains poor, his determination and attitude continue to earn praise. Arias remains focused on helping the team recover and believes that persistence will eventually bring rewards.
#### Eyes on the future
Arias’ tone contrasts with the narrative from the Brazilian press, which has hinted at frustration and possible interest from South American clubs. Instead, his words reflect patience, faith, and a long-term mindset.
For now, the Colombian winger seems committed to making his mark at Molineux. He knows the Premier League demands resilience, and he appears ready to face it. He’s convinced that the hard days at Wolves are only part of a journey toward better ones.
