'Relief' - Crawley Town boss Scott Lindsey on his side's win over Fleetwood Town
‘Maybe I’ve not played him enough’ – that was the admission from Scott Lindsey about striker Louis Flower after he scored the opener against Fleetwood Town on Saturday.
The former Chelsea and Brighton striker has had limited chances to impress this season, only having four starts – two in the league and two in the Vertu Trophy.
But after goals against Bristol Rovers and Fleetwood and in the league – plus a brilliant strike against Leyton Orient in the cup – he is now Reds’ second top scorer behind Harry McKirdy.
On Saturday, the 21-year-old took his goal really well to get the ball rolling against 10-man Fleetwood town and boss Lindsey was impressed.

"I thought Louis Flower's movement off the ball, his willing determination to run forward was excellent and a great finish from the boy,” he said. “I'm really pleased for Louis Flower because he's been patient and he always seems to find the net and maybe I've not played him enough.
"But he's done great and I'm really pleased for him.”
Defender Ben Radcliffe got his first league start of the season against Fleetwood on Saturday and he is another player who has been knocking on Lindsey’s door to get some game time.
The 21-year-old impressed, playing on the right of the back three, with Charlie Barker moving to the centre in the absence of club captain Dion Conroy, who was out with back issues.
Lindsey said: “Ben's been really patient. I think it's been difficult for Ben because he's seen the team concede goals week on week and he's a defender and he's almost looking at me to say, ‘any chance?’. And he's probably right to do so. But I've stuck with what I've stuck with and then I made a decision to change that.
“Albeit Dion has got back problems at the moment, I felt it was right to mix it up as well and I thought he did great. I thought Ben did really well. He's come in, in a real tough game.
“He was assured on the ball as well, stepped forward really well. I thought he was good.”
