New York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson has battled a knee injury over the past few weeks, but the former first-round pick should make his triumphant return to the field in Week 10. According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, New York’s top weapon will return to the field to face the Cleveland Browns.

Garrett Wilson Injury Update: Jets WR Questionable Against Cleveland Browns
Assuming he plays through the injury, this will be the first time we see Garrett Wilson on the football field in almost a month. The Ohio State product originally suffered a knee injury against the Denver Broncos in Week 6, missed Weeks 7 and 8, and had the bye in Week 9. Despite missing so much time, Wilson still leads the team in receptions (36), receiving yards (395), and touchdowns (four).
Wilson will join a Jets team that embraced the tank during the 2025 trade deadline. While the offense looks the same as the last time we saw the wideout, the defense lost star cornerback Sauce Gardner and defensive tackle Quinnen Williams. This will make New York’s defense considerably worse, but only time will tell if rookie Dillon Gabriel and the Cleveland Browns can exploit it.
Even though both team stands a shot at the playoffs, this game could go a long way towards determining the future of both franchises. The 1-7 New York Jets and 2-6 Cleveland Browns both need a franchise quarterback and are in the running for the first-overall pick. A Cleveland win could effectively take them out of the race, while a Jets win would put them clearly behind the 1-8 New Orleans Saints and Tennessee Titans. The 2026 quarterback draft class is not expected to be a good one, so there may only be one or two passers worth drafting early.
