**West Ham striker Callum Wilson proves he’s still got it as he continued his excellent scoring record against Burnley on Saturday**.
As Hammers fan Olivia Dean’s song ‘Man I Need’ continues to go viral online. West Ham striker Callum Wilson proves he’s the man West Ham need against Burnley.
Callum Wilson joined the club with a lack of expectation. He didn’t manage a goal for Newcastle last season and many thought he was finished at the top level.
However, after a surprisingly promising start under Potter, despite not getting a start under the Brighton boss. He’s now quickly becoming Nuno’s main man to spearhead the Hammers attack.
After a decent display against Newcastle last Sunday, the 33-year-old took it to another level by getting on the scoresheet against Burnley at the London Stadium this weekend.
After going 1-0 down after a goal from Zian Flemming, the Hammers had equalised just nine minutes later thanks to Wilson.
Summerville picked up the ball from a short corner and drove into the Burnley penalty area. He rifled a shot from about 12 yards out but it was blocked by Esteve.
However, Wilson with his years of experience was the first to react as he nodded into the bottom corner to level it up.
The former Bournemouth and Newcastle man didn’t have the greatest all round game. But as long as he’s scoring goals, he’s not playing badly and the players around him are performing, there’s nothing to complain about.
Let’s hope his appalling injury record doesn’t catch up with him in a West Ham shirt and he can stay fit till at least January.
Even if Wilson continues to score goals we need to bring in a younger player that suits Nuno’s style of play better.
