FC Barcelona are set to travel cross-country to take on Celta Vigo in their own backyard. A trip to Balaídos can be a nightmare and has been a bogey ground for the Catalan club in recent seasons.
Injuries have not allowed Hansi Flick’s team to play at their best so far this season. Dropped points see them sit behind Real Madrid in the La Liga race, and Barcelona will be keen to emerge victorious and keep the pressure on Xabi Alonso’s side.
Ahead of the game, Hansi Flick mentioned in the [pre-match press conference](https://semprebarca.com/i-have-doubts-hansi-flick-confirms-possible-injury-absence-of-key-barcelona-star-against-celta-vigo/) that Jules Kounde might not make the trip to Vigo, having failed to complete yesterday’s training session due to lingering discomfort.
According to [SPORT](https://www.sport.es/es/noticias/barca/convocatoria-fc-barcelona-visitar-celta-123522029), however, the French right back has been included in the matchday squad for the game against Celta Vigo. In addition, Andreas Christensen has received the green light after missing the past three games.
Just when it seemed Flick might not have enough options to call on against Vigo, he now has almost his entire defence available. That said, it is extremely unlikely that either player will be given a start at Balaídos.
Kounde’s form this season has been a concern. A break today and rest during the international break would do him a world of good to recharge his batteries, and we will have to wait and see how Flick and co. handle it.
