Pedri is one of the players Barcelona are dearly missing due to injury right now, and it has cost the team dearly so far.
Pedri’s ability to orchestrate play in the middle of the park is something that has been missing in the Barcelona team lately.
The young midfielder, who is one of the nominees for FIFA’s The Best award this year, also used to provide the creative spark in midfield. That has been missing, too.
One of the individuals who has been able to recognise the absence of Pedri is former Barcelona star Nolito.
Nolito praises Pedri
In a recent interview with Que Thi Jugues, Nolito has heaped praise on Pedri and his mentality as well as temperament.
“I’m infatuated with Pedri; he’s a straightforward guy, never complains, and has incredible soccer potential,” he said.

Pedri has indeed earned many plaudits because of the way he operates on and off the field. He is widely renowned for his calm and composed attitude.
Nolito added that the Spanish international is a role model for any budding midfielder who is looking to make it big at the highest level of football.
“He’s a role model to emulate for any soccer player,” the former attacker said.
This is not the first time Nolito has spoken highly about Pedri, as the former Celta Vigo star waxed lyrical about the Spanish international earlier this month as well.
Nevertheless, Barcelona will hope Pedri returns to action sooner rather than later, as the club do lack the services of a viable alternative for the midfield maestro.
