Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner expects Marc Guehi to withdraw from the England squad after missing their goalless draw against Brighton with an ankle injury.
Guehi has been on crutches and unable to put weight on his foot since Friday after a tackle late in their Conference League win over AZ Alkmaar caused his ankle to swell.
The 25-year-old was named in Thomas Tuchel’s England squad on Friday for World Cup qualifiers against Albania and Serbia, but Glasner does not foresee him being available.
"Overnight he couldn't sleep, it was so painful and the next day we assessed him and it was a heavy bone bruise," Glasner told Sky Sports.
"He was walking on crutches the last two days and couldn't even step on his foot.
"Fortunately, nothing is broken, but at the moment, he can't even walk. It looks like he will miss England's games, but after 10-14 days, hopefully he can return to training and be available again.”
