Dolphins down starting cornerback, safety and edge rusher vs. Bills

The Miami Dolphins will be severely undermanned on defense in Sunday’s matchup against the Buffalo Bills.

Cornerback Rasul Douglas (foot/ ankle), edge rusher Chop Robinson (concussion) and safety Ashtyn Davis (quadriceps) all won’t suit up, per the team. All three are starters.

Additional inactives include linebacker Andre Carter II, receiver Dee Eskridge, tight end Julian Hill and Quinn Ewers, who will serve as the emergency third quarterback.

The news that Douglas and Robinson are out should come as no surprise, as coach Mike McDaniel said Friday that he had planned as if they would not play.
