**Niclas Füllkrug was highly mentioned last week after his agent had spoken about his underwhelming West Ham stint.**
It was reported by sources that Niclas Fullkrug would be available to be used for the matchday squad against Burnley. Yet, he wasn’t involved in the match-day squad, and Callum Wilson has since replaced him permanently, which you’d say is going rather well considering he scored yesterday.
We’ve seen numerous times that once a player’s agent speaks out, it ultimately ends sour and West Ham fans more often than not, aren’t happy at the ‘bad mouthing’ that’s received towards them. And in this instance, it appears that Fullkrug’s agent, Thorsten Wirth, has put the final nail in the coffin and unless Wilson is to get injured, I doubt Fullkrug will play in a West Ham shirt again.
However, I don’t think this will come as a loss to Nuno, as it seems that the Portuguese manager had ultimately lost faith in the senior German international after dragging him off against Arsenal for an inexperienced Callum Marshall. If that isn’t a tell that displays dislike then I’m not sure what does!
Considering his age, injury record and his current involvement in the squad, Fullkrug is outnumbered in every aspect compared to Callum Wilson, so you’d suspect that come the January window, he’ll be one of many that’ll be heading out the exit door and hopefully the funds will be reinvested elsewhere
