Leeds ratings: The 'hungry' exception to a bad day at the office for Whites

Sheffield United, Leeds United and FA Cup - The YP FootballTalk Podcast

Leeds United were on the receiving end of Nottingham Forest’s first Premier League win since the opening weekend of the season – two managers ago – after a below-par display at the City Ground.

Very few players emerged with much credit from a 3-1 defeat where the Whites looked sloppy and at times tired in their final outing before November’s international break.

Lucas Perri – one brilliant double save but some uncertain moments too 6

Jayden Bogle – unable to pose the attacking threat he did in the Championship, his confidence looks to be on the wane 5

Joe Rodon – generally defended well, but there was a collective responsibility for how easy Forest’s first two crossed goals were 6

Jaka Bijol – ought to have been far closer to Morgan Gibbs-White for his headed goal 5

Gabriel Gudmundsson – one excellent run half the length of the field but a lot of Forest's threat came down his side, especially in the first half 6

Sean Longstaff – a dismall free-kick at the end of the first half summed it up – he looks in real need of an international break 5

HUNGRY: Noah Okafor worked well in both directions for Leeds United (Image: Shaun Botterill/Getty Images)placeholder image

Ethan Ampadu - wasteful in his passing, he played on after a painful blow to the knee in the first half 5

Anton Stach – shares the blame for a midfield that was loose on the ball and too easy to play through 5

Brenden Aaronson – shown up by the improvement when Daniel James came on for him 5

Lukas Nmecha – wonderfully taken goal but the ball bounced off him too much as well 6

Noah Okafor – looked hungry as he worked well in both directions and played a big part in Nmecha's goal 7

Substitutes:

Dominic Calvert-Lewin (for Nmecha, 74) – won a couple of headers in his short time on the field but unable to score from either 5

Daniel James (for Aaronson, 74) – livened things up with a couple of shots on goal soon after his introduction 6

Joel Piroe (for Longstaff, 74) – made little impact 5

Jack Harrison (for Gudmundsson, 82) – came on at left-back and conceded the penalty 4

Pascal Struijk (for Bijol, 82) – N/A

Not used: Tanaka, Darlow , Gruev.
