The New York Jets played the Cleveland Browns in front of a pathetic crowd at MetLife Stadium on Sunday. Fans chose to stay home so it looked like a ghost town.
Those who did make the trip to the Meadowlands were mostly there to honor the late Nick Mangold, not to support their basement-dwelling football team.
We have not seen a crowd this small in the NFL in a few years. Can you blame them?
New York Jets fans skipped out on the tailgate.
One of the best parts of game day is the tailgate. Vibes are at their highest. There is still hope for your team to win. Nobody can hurt you.
Jets fan were not even interested in the tailgate. A parking lot that was full of tents, grills and coolers at the beginning of the season looked like the apocalypse.

There was plenty of room for activities.

Even the few tailgates that did pop up around the stadium were poorly attended.
