Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson was ruled out of Sunday’s game against the Browns after exiting in the third quarter with a knee injury.
As Wilson entered the blue medical tent with about seven minutes remaining in the third quarter, he appeared to be walking with a limp.
Wilson remained in the tent for five minutes before coming out and getting on the bike. At the end of the quarter, he was on the bike talking to multiple members of the Jets’ medical staff. At the start of the fourth quarter, he sat on the bench and put on a parka.
Wilson missed the last two games after suffering a knee injury in the final drive of the Jets’ Week 6 loss to the Broncos in London. He returned this week.
Wilson was targeted three times on Sunday and did not record a catch. It was the first time in his career that he did not record a catch in a game.
The Jets signed Wilson to a four-year $130 million contract with $90 million guaranteed, which keeps him with the Jets at least through 2030.
Wilson signed his extension the day before cornerback Sauce Gardner, whom the Jets traded to the Colts on Tuesday, signed his. The Jets held on to Wilson despite a pair of blockbuster trades at the deadline (Gardner and defensive tackle Quinnen Williams).
Cornerback Azareye’h Thomas, who was starting in place of Gardner, also exited earlier in the game after a scary collision with teammate Jamien Sherwood in the first half. He is being evaluated for a concussion.
