The Indiana Pacers finally gained one player off their injury report in Andrew Nembhard but they’ve added two more. The team will be without both Aaron Nesmith and Pascal Siakam on the second night of a back to back in addition to seven other players, the team announced.

Nesmith is out with a right forearm contusion after he took a hard fall while trying to corral a rebound in the second half against the Nuggets. He was one of few bright spots in last night’s game with 25 points on only 10 shot attempts. Pascal Siakam will be resting on the second night of a back to back and with the heavy burden that he’s been carrying, it makes perfect sense. Siakam struggled last night as he scored just 3 points on 1 of 10 shooting in the first half but still finished with 14/6/5.
After missing the last seven games, Nembhard returned from his left shoulder strain with 22 points and 6 assists. on 7 of 20 shooting
The most up-to-date information for the other seven members of the team on the injury report are as follows. Taelon Peter is questionable with his groin injury again after he was available last night. Both Quenton Jackson and Johnny Furphy are out for the road trip and then some time beyond that. Obi Toppin is out until at least February. Bennedict Mathurin has no definitive timetable at the moment beyond week to week.
🤏 probably just Benn’s way of expressing his true love language: trash talk
An update on T.J. McConnell should be coming soon as it’ll be one month since his injury as of today. It’s unclear how long rookie Kam Jones will be out and of course Tyrese Haliburton will be out for the entire season. At 1-8, it’s a dark time for the Pacers.
The Pacers also added more veteran point guard depth by waiving Mac McClung after he was a DNP-CD against the Nets and signing Monte Morris. Morris played his first game with Indiana last night as he added 3 points and 2 rebounds. He was originally going to join the team before training camp but was dealing with a calf strain. Now he continues to the long running pipeline between Iowa State and the Pacers, following in the footsteps of Fred Hoiberg, Jamaal Tinsley, Georges Niang, Naz Mitrou-Long, and Tyrese Haliburton.
If the injuries continue, they may have to look hard at a certain Pacers legend for their next hardship 10-day contract. Reggie Miller was asking for one while shooting in the Hali 1s.
