The Washington Commanders are Marcus Mariota's fifth NFL team he's played for during his career.

Although the 32-year-old hasn't fully met expectations since being selected as the second overall pick in the NFL Draft, he has managed to build a solid professional career. The signal-caller is expected to take over starting duties for Washington for the foreseeable future after regular starter Jayden Daniels sustained a potentially season-ending injury this past Sunday in the matchup against the Seattle Seahawks.

This wealth stems from $83.54 million in career earnings combined with endorsement partnerships with major brands like Nike and Beats by Dre.

He's currently operating under a one-year, $8 million contract.

While under his initial four-year, $24 million rookie contract with the Tennessee Titans, Mariota acquired a 3,000-square-foot residence near Kaiulua Beach in Hawaii, according to the LA Times.

The property, situated on Oahu, carried a valuation of $1.7 million.

Mariota spent $2.45 million to secure the dwelling, which also featured a guest cottage in the backyard.

Mariota bought the home, which also boasted a central pool, in 2017 following his second complete season in the NFL.

He became the inaugural resident of the Oahu property.

The former Oregon standout is poised to receive his first substantial run of starting opportunities since serving as the primary quarterback with the Atlanta Falcons in 2022, a campaign featured in the Netflix documentary "Quarterback."

Throughout his career, Mariota holds a 35-42 record as a starter, excluding a 1-1 playoff mark. He has played for the Tennessee Titans, Las Vegas Raiders, Atlanta Falcons, Philadelphia Eagles, and Washington Commanders.

Mariota praised Daniels during his mid-week press conference. "He's the face of the franchise, and the more that we can get him healthy, get him ready to go, it'll be good for everybody," the 32-year-old said.

"That doesn't change for Jay, and that's something that's really special about him. So, he is always around... and I think the more that he is around, guys appreciate it."
