EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — Dillon Gabriel’s first completed pass of Sunday’s loss to the Jets was to wide receiver Jerry Jeudy, a 5-yard throw on second-and-9. It was the second play of the Browns’ best drive of the day, a nine-play, 95-yard drive that ended with tight end David Njoku catching a touchdown pass to give the Browns a 7-0 lead.

That drive became a footnote after the special teams imploded and the Browns couldn’t stay out of their own way in a 27-20 loss to the Jets.
