Keenan Allen Becomes Chargers All-Time Receptions Leader by Passing Antonio Gates

Allen passed former teammates Antonio Gates, who racked up 955 career catches with the Chargers during his 16-year Hall of Fame career.

Allen said earlier this season that surpassing Gates "absolutely" would mean the most out of anything he's accomplished in his career.

"That's the priority one," Allen said. "Definitely trying to catch Gates."

Allen, who returned to the Chargers during training camp, had 904 catches with the Chargers from 2013-2023.

He spent the 2024 season with the Bears but has a team-high 48 catches for 479 yards to go along with four scores this season.

Allen recorded his **[1,000th career catch](https://www.chargers.com/news/keenan-allen-1000-catches-justin-herbert)** earlier this season and also joined the exclusive **[400-400 club](https://www.chargers.com/news/keenan-allen-fantasy-philip-rivers-justin-herbert-400)** as the only player in NFL history with at least 400 catches from two different quarterbacks.
