AFC North Week 10 Standings: Ravens Hot On Steelers’ Heels

Playing a third primetime game in four weeks, this one on the West Coast, things were disastrous for the Pittsburgh Steelers against the Los Angeles Chargers as their offense was the worst it’s been all season. Aaron Rodgers picked a bad time to have his worst game of the season, and the Steelers were blown out, 25-10.

That loss closed the gap even further in the AFC North as the Steelers are running hot and cold at the moment.

The Baltimore Ravens continued their winning ways, notching a third-straight victory to climb out of a 1-5 hole to start the season with a 27-19 road win over the Minnesota Vikings. The Cleveland Browns gave the New York Jets their second win of the season, falling 27-20 to Aaron Glenn and crew. The Cincinnati Bengals were on a bye.

Here’s the updated AFC North standings post-Week 10.

AFC North Standings Through Week 10

1. Pittsburgh Steelers: 5-4

2. Baltimore Ravens: 4-5

3. Cincinnati Bengals: 3-6

4. Cleveland Browns: 2-7

Heading west for the matchup with the Chargers, the Steelers took an early 3-0 lead thanks to a 59-yard Chris Boswell field goal on the second drive of the game.

After that though, it was all Chargers, due in large part to Steelers mistakes. Rodgers made a terrible decision deep in his own end and took a safety trying to extend a play on 3rd and 7. Then, Boswell missed a 45-yard field goal early in the second quarter. Following Boswell’s miss, the game went in favor of the Chargers.

Chargers kicker Cameron Dicker drilled a 32-yard field goal, Rodgers later threw a bad interception, and the Chargers scored a touchdown before halftime to take a 12-3 lead into the break.

In the second half, Dicker tacked on a 49-yard field goal and the Steelers couldn’t convert third downs. A big 58-yard catch and run by Ladd McConkey set up a 2-yard touchdown run by Kimani Vidal and the game was all but over.

Rodgers found Roman Wilson for a 27-yard touchdown in garbage time, but that was it.

The loss drops the Steelers to 5-4 ahead of a Week 11 home matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals in another big AFC North matchup.

Jackson wasn’t as impressive as in his four-touchdown return in Week 9 after an early-season hamstring injury, but got the job done with a second-half surge. Trading first-half field goals for second-half touchdowns, Baltimore outscored Minnesota 18-9 after intermission. RB Derrick Henry grinded out 75 yards while the defense held WR Justin Jefferson to 37 yards while intercepting QB J.J. McCarthy twice. The Ravens are squarely back in the Wild Card and divisional race with nearly a half season still to play and two divisional games against the Steelers ahead.

The Browns now have as many wins as the Jets this season. Former Steelers QB Justin Fields finished with just 54 passing yards and had a single yard well into the second quarter. Running back Breece Hall was the Jets’ offensive source. Remaining with the Jets despite plenty of deadline trade buzz, Hall tallied 125 total yards from scrimmage and posted the go-ahead fourth-quarter touchdown taking a short screen pass for a 42-yard score.

Sacked six times and throwing for only 167 yards, Cleveland rookie QB Dillon Gabriel continued his brand of conservative offense. But he also threw a pair of touchdown passes while rookie RB Quinshon Judkins churned out yards on the ground. But the offense fell flat after the half with just three points. The offense has only scored more than 20 points once this season despite facing a Jets defense days removed from trading cornerstone pieces in CB Sauce Gardner and DT Quinnen Williams.

New York won despite just 169 yards of total offense. It’s the second time this season Cleveland has allowed less than 170 yards and lost, giving up just 141 to the Cincinnati Bengals in the season opener. In lieu of offensive production, the Jets scored twice on special teams with one kick and one punt return for a touchdown. New York is the first team to do so since the 2013 Kansas City Chiefs. Cleveland jumped offsides on 4th and 4 to prevent even the chance of a game-tying drive.

The only consolation prize is Cleveland’s increased odds to secure the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. The 1-8 Tennessee Titans currently hold that spot.

The Bengals enjoyed a late bye week, though the Ravens’ win pushes them further down the AFC North standings.

Pittsburgh takes on Cincinnati at Acrisure Stadium next Sunday. Baltimore travels to Cleveland to finish off their season series. The Ravens blew out the Browns 41-17 in Week 2.
