Manchester United's October resurgence owed a lot to the improved performances of some of their star men.
Casemiro has been highly impressive in central midfield. He improved in the Europa League last season but few would have thought he would be the first choice this season when everyone was fit.
Bryan Mbeumo was one of the few consistent performers before the unbeaten run. However, he reached another level again in October and was deservedly named the Premier League's Player of the Month.
His good form was in part due to his flourishing partnership with Amad. Since his loan spell at Sunderland, the Ivorian has been a favourite among the fanbase.
Erik ten Hag's sacking in October 2024 was arguably the best thing that could have happened to the winger. From being overlooked for large spells by the Dutchman, Amad has gone on to become one of United's most important players.
The summer arrivals of Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha meant it soon became clear Amad would be used predominantly in the right wing-back role - despite being named as one of the two No.10s against Tottenham on Saturday - having switched between right wing-back and No.10 following Amorim's arrival.
Some worried whether Amad would be able to play the role as a natural attacking player and if a new signing would need to be made. While the 23-year-old has had his struggles defensively in the wide role, on the whole he has been excellent.
He has admitted that he is still working on the defensive side of his game but offensively Amad is a huge threat and his combination with Mbeumo has added a new dimension to United's play.
But trouble is on the horizon. Both Mbeumo and Amad will soon depart for AFCON. Mbeumo has been brilliant this season but Mason Mount has shown glimpses of promise to be able to step into his role.
Meanwhile, it's difficult to see who the replacement for Amad will be. United have options in that position but neither Diogo Dalot nor Noussair Mazraoui are capable of providing the attacking threat that Amad offers.
In just over a month, the forgotten concerns about who can play in the right wing-back position will come to the fore once more.
While it is only temporary, it will be a healthy reminder to Amorim that United need a back-up attacking right wing-back for Amad.
