A fourth defeat in five Premier League games, a fifth defeat in six away games. Daniel Farke is facing intense pressure as Leeds United head into the November break in dismal form.
Ahead of the game, reports said Farke had five games to save his job, starting with Sunday’s trip to The City Ground. A 3-1 defeat followed, with Leeds dominated by Forest throughout their sixth away game.
Following the loss, Leeds fans weren’t happy in the away end, and question marks are now being asked of the German gaffer. Many believe it is the right time to wave goodbye to the former Norwich manager.
There were not many positives from Saturday, but if there was one, it was Lukas Nmecha scoring another goal for Leeds in only his second Premier League start. A gorgeous finish into the bottom corner early on.

Lukas Nmecha breaks Leeds squad’s silence on Instagram
Ethan Ampadu spoke to reporters after the game to LUTV. Ampadu admitted he is fed up of saying it is a “long season” and wants to start winning games now. But the upcoming fixtures are incredibly tough.
After the break, Leeds host Villa, go to Man City and then return to Elland Road to take on Chelsea and Liverpool. Nmecha was the only major positive in a dismal performance that saw Leeds concede three.
Nmecha posted on Instagram – the only Leeds player to do so following the Forest win: “Disappointing game but the belief stays. We’ll keep pushing together.”

Whoever is in charge, Lukas Nmecha deserves to start vs Villa
Leeds now have two weeks to rest and regroup, as the internationals jet off. Farke will be left with the players that are not with their National Teams, and if he retains his job, he needs to inject confidence.
Play players that are in form and not stick to something that he has tried, and tried again, and has failed. There are many similarities between Leeds’ defeat to Brighton a week ago, and Forest away on Sunday.
Nmecha deserves to retain his place in the side. The German scored a great goal, held the ball up as well as he could despite the inconsistent refereeing of Jarred Gillett, and contributed to attacking moves.
When Villa come to Elland Road after the break, a side that beat Bournemouth 4-0 on Sunday, Farke or whoever is in the Leeds dugout have a decision to make. But Nmecha deserves to retain his starting spot.
