Souček | Back-to-back wins was what we really needed

While making an impact from the bench may be an unfamiliar role for the Czechia captain, he is always happy to do his bit for the team.

Making sure that contribution was two goals in two substitute appearances - which take him above Trevor Sinclair and into sixth in the all-time list of Premier League goals for the Club with 38 - means he can be very satisfied that misson was accomplished.

"Obviously, all my career, I was a starter, and that's my dream to be a starter, but things can change and I do whatever is needed," he continued.

"And I'm so happy that I could make an impact on Saturday, impact the last game from the bench and the fans can be proud of me. That's the most important thing.

"For the goals from close in, some people can say that it's only luck, but I say that it is that I believe that's [where] every ball can go.

"Maybe I can make 100 sacrifice runs and I don't get the ball, but then on 101 I can score. I believe until the end, all the time, and yeah, I got the rewards today.

"Then for the third goal [me shooting from outside the box], we don't see too many of them! But in the end it got us the winner. Obviously, Martin Dúbravka made a good save, but it was a great run from Jarrod and Kyle, they want to kill for that goal.

"In the end, it was a winning goal. So that's a really good job from them."
