Giannis Antetokounmpo did not mince words on Bucks after unbelievable collapse against Rockets

The Milwaukee Bucks are suddenly looking shaky. After a 4-1 start to the 2025-26 NBA season, Giannis Antetokounmpo and company have alternated wins and losses, going 2-3 in the next five outings, including Sunday’s 122-115 loss at the hands of Kevin Durant and the visiting Houston Rockets at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee.

The Bucks seemed poised to win their second game in a row following a 126-110 crushing at home of the Chicago Bulls on Friday, but they wasted a 14-point lead on their way to suffering their fourth loss in the current campaign.

Milwaukee mostly had control of the game, but a 22-7 Rockets salvo down the stretch in the final quarter had the Bucks falling prey to Houston.

The final five minutes of the contest were a tough one to watch for Bucks fans. Over that span, Houston shot 7-for-8 from the field, while the Bucks made only 42.9 percent of their field goal attempts. Stagnation on offense didn’t help Milwaukee as either.

“I think we just gotta do a better job just moving the ball,” Antetokounmpo said after the game, per Eric Nehm of The Athletic. “The ball was sticking a lot. Even when I had the ball, guys were not moving, our spacing was not good.

“We have to play the way we play through the first three quarters. Obviously, I know it’s the fourth quarter, you gotta be smarter, but we gotta keep on playing with pace, good spacing, guys gotta get in the paint and just be smarter down the stretch.”

The loss wasted Antetokounmpo’s brilliant performance, as he finished with 37 points on 14-for-25 shooting from the floor with eight rebounds and three assists, while the Rockets were led by Durant’s 31 points.
