The Houston Rockets got the better of Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday in a game that featured two of the best European hoopers today.
Turkish star big man Alperen Sengun and Antetokounmpo of Greece went at it in the game, less than two months after a heated battle in the semifinals of EuroBasket 2025, which Turkey won.
Following a missed free throw by Antetokounmpo, and with the Rockets ahead by three points with under 40 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter, Sengun grabbed the defensive rebound.
Instead of giving the ball to a guard, he decided to bring it down the court himself. Antetokounmpo immediately picked him up, but despite the Greek Freak’s best efforts, Sengun found his way to the paint, using a sleek pivot move to beat Bucks big man Myles Turner at the basket while also drawing a foul.

Another one said: “A center being able to do this will never be normal”
From a commenter: “A center being able to do this will never be normal 🤝🏻”
“This is not going to help ease tensions between Greeks and Turks.,” a social media user posted.
Via a different commenter: “Don’t need to be an NBA player to experience the pain of a European big man , slower than a parked car, dribble, score, and flex as you’re doing your best”
Said another: “Giannis reaching like one of those trash defenders on 2k 😂😂😂”
As for Antetokounmpo, he led all scorers in the game with 37 points to his name, but it all went for naught, as Milwaukee dropped to 6-4.
