Morgan Rogers has signed a new contract with Aston Villa amid speculation linking him with Chelsea.

The attacker has agreed a deal until 2031 - his third Villa contract in the last 21 months.

Rogers signed for Villa from Middlesbrough in February 2024 and had his early progress confirmed with fresh terms just a year ago.

Twelve months on he has now penned another contract, the third Villa player in recent weeks to extend their stay at the club.

Villa confirmed recent speculation it was about to happen with a statement on their website which read: "Aston Villa is delighted to announce that Morgan Rogers has signed a new contract with the club.

"The England international has agreed a deal that will keep him at Villa until 2031.

"Rogers signed for the club in February 2024 from Middlesbrough and has become a key member of Unai Emery's side, earning a debut for the Three Lions in November 2024.

"His stellar performances last term saw his peers vote him PFA Young Player of the Season."

Last month Matty Cash signed a new three-and-a-half-year deal that will keep him in Claret & Blue until 2029.

Then last week it was confirmed John McGinn had committed to stay at Villa Park until 2028, having already been at the club seven years.

As regards other contracts, Ross Barkley's deal is up in the summer, although Villa do have an option.

More key players have less than two years on their deals, with Youri Tielemans, Emi Buendia, Tyrone Mings, Marco Bizot and Victor Lindelof up in 2027.
