Bruno Guimaraes says Newcastle United are going through their 'toughest moment' after latest…

**Newcastle United have their lowest points total at this stage of the season under Eddie Howe after yet another defeat on the road on Sunday.**

Brentford replicated West Ham on Sunday by coming from a goal down to win 3-1 on their home turf against a Newcastle United side that seems to think one goal is enough.

The level of performance was certainly better against Brentford than it was at West Ham, but that was such a low bar to clear. However, the actual defeat stung just as much, if not more.

Newcastle had a lot of possession against Brentford, but only mustered one shot on target all game, which was Harvey Barnes' first-half goal.

Bruno Guimaraes says the players are feeling it as much as the fans right now

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

After the game, Bruno Guimaraes issued a heartfelt apology to the fans with a promise to do better, as relayed by Keith Downie on X.

> “In almost four years at the club, we are going through perhaps one of the toughest moment. Just like in life, we can’t always be at the top."But…in times like this we need to stick together and never let go of each others’ hands.

> "The first part of the season didn’t go as expected and after the break we need to find the chemistry that has guided us all this time until now. I can assure you we are just as sad as you, the fans.”

Newcastle United desperately need a plan B

------------------------------------------

We wish there were a way that Eddie Howe could stop all of his international players from linking up with their country during this break so he could keep them together and kick their arses on the training pitch.

Instead, we hope Howe is working on another formation and playing style that actually uses the players he has to the best of their abilities, because it's clear to anyone that we are not getting the best out of Nick Woltemade in the current style.

A lot has to change and quickly, but obviously, with the limited time available to train due to participating in the Champions League, it makes things very difficult. However, other managers find a way, so it's time for Eddie to do the same.
