These two come into this game both inside the top half of the Premier League with Crystal Palace sitting in 9th place and Brighton sitting in 10th.The Eagles form has recently taken a turn as they went three weeks in October without a win in four games.
However, they have won their last three games in the last week and a half.
Similarly, Brighton's form has been a bit hit and miss in recent weeks as they have picked up two wins and two losses in their last five games.
Both teams will be looking to claim bragging rights over their rivals with this game also being dubbed 'the M23 derby.'
Last season Crystal Palace completed a league double over Brighton with a 2-1 win in April thanks to Jean-Philippe Mateta and Daniel Munoz.

In December at the Amex Trevoh Chalobah and Ismaila Sarr starred with Marc Guehi scoring a late own goal.
Brighton's last win over Palace came in February 2024 in Roy Hodgson's penultimate game where they thumped the Eagles 4-1.
However, they have not won at Selhurst Park since March 2019 when Glenn Murray and Anthony Knockaert were on the scoresheet.
Crystal Palace
Palace have a few players out on the sidelines who will be unavailable for Sunday’s game.
Youngster Rio Cardines missed the AZ Alkmaar game with a ‘minor abductor injury’ and may again not be in the matchday squad.
Chris Richards and Adam Wharton have both recently returned to the side following a calf injury and illness.
Richards has played 180 minutes against Brentford and Alkmaar and will surely be in the starting lineup again, but Wharton only got 25 minutes from the bench on Thursday and is in a race against time to be starting.

Chadi Riad was expected to return to the matchday squad on Thursday but had a little reaction following a slip. He could be back in the squad on Sunday. Teenager Caleb Kporha is yet to play this season due to a back injury picked up in pre-season and he is out for the foreseeable.
Cheick Doucoure picked up a meniscus injury in January and his set back is long term, and he is not expected to return this calendar year.
Eddie Nketiah has missed the last two and a half games with a hamstring problem and is expected back after the international break while Ismaila Sarr was subbed off earlier than Glasner hoped on Thursday due to a hamstring issue.
Brighton and Hove Albion
The Seagulls have a number of absentees ahead of their trip to London.
Brajan Gruda has been out of action for the last few weeks with a knee problem and he will not feature. Adam Webster injured his knee ligament in pre-season and that required surgery meaning he is set to miss a large part of the season with Solly March also being out with a knee injury.
Kaoru Mitoma is closing in on a return after having been out of action for five weeks with an ankle injury. Joel Veltman could also feature as he nears a return from a calf injury.

The Senegalese man has been on hot form so far in the 2025/26 season, his second in South London.
Sarr is one of the fastest forwards in the league and his runs in behind always prove a problem to full backs.
His one-on-one finishing is also becoming better, and he is on track to break his 24/25 goal and assist count of 19 in 47 games in all competitions. The 27-year-old has eight goals and one assist in 15 games so far this term.
Brighton and Hove Albion – Danny Welbeck

The veteran striker has been getting even better as he gets older.
The 2024/25 season was his second-best goal scoring year behind his 2011/12 season at Man United. Last term the 34-year-old scored 11 in all competitions.
The former Arsenal striker has six goals in seven league starts this season and this good form sparked talks of a recall to the England squad.
However, Thomas Tuchel opted with other picks for the November break. Welbeck’s last cap came all the way back in 2018.
