Verbruggen and Dunk lead the way to Albion clean sheet

This is how they fared as individuals at Selhurst Park.

**Bart Verbruggen 8.5/10**

Two superb - and different - saves at either end of the game and an authoritative and calm display, including when high balls came in. Just what Albion needed from their big goalkeeper

**Mats Wieffer 8/10**

Very effective again as right-back moving forward or into midfield. He has a real combative edge which was ideal for this occasion.

**Jan Paul van Hecke 8/10**

Generally rock solid and alert at the back.  He is putting together a run of strong displays.

**Lewis Dunk 8.5/10**

A towering display as Mateta had just one early half-chance and Sarr’s early promise faded.

**Ferdi Kadioglu 8/10**

Buzzed around, busily mainly on the left but coming infield at times. Has an eye for the forward foray and has done well to keep that left-back spot.

**Yasin Ayari 7/10**

A tidy display in midfield, happily taking possession under pressure, and did his defensive duty, including an important shot block.

**Carlos Baleba 6/10**

Almost cost Albion when losing the ball in a vulnerable area, although he was also among the players who then scrambled back. Did not assert authority and was taken off having been booked.

**Yankuba Minteh 6/10**

A first half of poor end product was capped by his failure to trouble Palace with a great chance. But he delivered a couple of decent second-half crosses and his eagerness to defend was impressive.

**Georginio Rutter 6.5/10**

At the centre of controversy as he looked to engineer a penalty having done really well to win the ball and run at the defence. Lots of good intentions.

**Diego Gomez 7/10**

A very purposeful performance in this non-winger role. His athleticism is becoming more notable, such as when he launched a counter-attack on half-time.

**Danny Welbeck 6/10**

A quiet afternoon as Palace snuffed him out. Did not get much service but worked as hard as ever.

**SUBS – Joel Veltman 6/10**

Good to see him back offering a good defensive option although a late foul might have proved costly.

**Charalampos Kostoulas 6/10**

Sent on as the first attacking option and was part of a decent flurry of pressure.  It looked like the pace and intensity might be catching him out but he did some good defensive work to keep the ball and win a free-kick late on.

**Stefanos Tzimas, Max De Cuyper N/A**

Late introducions. Tzimas put in a dangerous ball which tested Henderson.
