Fulham hit MK Dons Women for six

Milton Keynes Citizen Morning Update Thursday 6 November, 2025

The league leaders put MK Dons Women to the sword on Sunday

The Cottagers are undefeated this season and showed why by taking the lead after just five minutes and taking a 2-0 advantage with them into the break. Four second-half goals cemented their control over the game as Dons suffered a sixth defeat of the season.

Speaking afterwards, boss Stephen Healy was left to pick the bones out of the defeat.

“Fulham are a top side, we knew that coming into the game,” he said. “We did, or we tried out utmost to try to nullify that, but they're a really good side. We had some half-chances but we were a bit rash in the final third and didn’t take them. Fulham scored some really good goals in the second-half.

“We never stopped fighting and battling, that’s an important trait to have. It can be a difficult time otherwise. We still saw some positives in the game, which might seem strange after a 6-0 loss, but there were some positives for us in terms of our structure and spells of possession. We have to keep working.”

The side take on Woodley United this Sunday in the Berks & Bucks County Cup at Fairfields Sports Hub, kicking off a 2pm.

Healy added: “We have to take it on the chin and move onto next week. We’ve now got a quarter final in the cup to prepare for, and we have to put on a good performance for the fans.”
