Liverpool were on the end of two contentious calls as they were beaten 3-0 by Manchester City on Sunday afternoon.

The Reds had a penalty given against them when Giorgi Mamardashvili was adjudged to have fouled Jérémy Doku. The decision was only awarded after VAR intervened with official Michael Oliver instructing on-field referee Chris Kavanagh to take a second look at the incident. Oliver was the same referee who denied Liverpool a penalty against Man City two seasons ago when Doku kicked Alexis Mac Allister in the chest.
