Eagles fans must monitor these game-defining injuries in Week 10 Packers game

The Philadelphia Eagles and Green Bay Packers face off in an important Week 10 showdown that can determine who takes first place in the NFC.

Both teams are dealing with key injuries, despite having only two losses each on the season. Philadelphia has the advantage of being in first place in the conference entering the week. The Packers' one tie against the Dallas Cowboys has held them back from taking the top spot.

Which injuries are bigger than the others for each team? Also, how much will they impact the game from start to finish?

Eagles and Packers facing big time injuries in the game

The Eagles' biggest injury of the week is at center with Cam Jurgens, who is out with a knee injury. This will be the second straight game Jurgens has missed after also being out for the Week 8 New York Giants game.

Another key injury for the Eagles that's disappointing is that of cornerback Jaire Alexander, who is out as he recovers from his knee injury, and part of the reason is head coach Nick Sirianni's decision. Alexander was just traded from the Baltimore Ravens last week, but the Eagles don't want to rush him back on the field as he is still learning defensive coordinator Vic Fangio's scheme.

As for the Packers, they have two wide receivers out with Dontayvion Wicks (calf) and Savion Williams (foot). Green Bay's first-round pick, Matthew Golden, has been listed as questionable with a shoulder injury as he only practiced in Thursday's workout, but missed Friday and Saturday.

The Packers will also be without defensive end Lukas Van Ness for the game, as he is out with a foot injury. Cornerback Nate Hobbs' status for the game is also out with his knee injury. Another injury to watch is that of offensive guard Zach Tom, who is questionable due to a back injury.

Philly might be able to take advantage of the fact that the Packers' wide receivers are banged up and not looking strong for the game. There is still talent in Green Bay in the passing game, but Christian Watson is also not 100% with his knee injury, so the Eagles are looking pretty good in the secondary.

Many consider the Eagles as having the more talented roster, but the Packers are playing at home and have been very good there. Despite the injuries, this will end up being a close matchup.
