Giorgi Mamardashvili is taking care of his future after football with a major investment move as reported in his native Georgia.
It would be unfair to judge the 25-year-old too harshly in his games since standing in for Alisson Becker.
By then, Arne Slot’s side had slipped into a poor downturn in form, and the Georgian was then thrust into the spotlight.
Even against Manchester City on Sunday, Mamardashvili saved a penalty from Erling Haaland and could not do too much for any of the other goals scored.
However, despite the on-field issues, the shot-stopper is making positive steps off the pitch.
Georgia Today have reported Mamardashvili’s investment in Archi’s flagship real estate development, “Grand Avenue”, which is being hailed as the new downtown of Tbilisi, Georgia.
This move marks Mamardashvili’s entry into the real estate sector.
Grand Avenue by Archi is a monumental $1 billion development located on Tsotne Dadiani Street, adjacent to the Dinamo Stadium.
The project aims to create a “city within a city” featuring a mix of premium and comfort-class apartments, office spaces, coworking areas, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a padel center, a modern school and kindergarten, a museum, and various gastronomic venues like cafes and restaurants.
Archi, the developer behind this visionary project, is known for creating innovative and large-scale urban living spaces in Tbilisi.
“This is my first investment, and it’s a big milestone for me,” Mamardashvili said of the investment.
“Everyone who joins us will be proud to be part of the Grand Avenue project. We’re building the new Downtown of Tbilisi—a place that represents the city’s future. I’m confident that, together, we’ll create something truly remarkable.”
Archi executives said: “Giorgi Mamardashvili is not only one of Georgia’s most accomplished athletes, but also a symbol of progress and ambition,” the company stated. “Partnering with him spotlights our shared values of excellence and innovation.”
