West Ham United’s season may finally be showing signs of life after back-to-back Premier League wins.
Following an impressive 3–1 victory over Newcastle, the Hammers edged past Burnley 3–2 at the London Stadium, with goals from Callum Wilson, Tomas Soucek, and Kyle Walker-Peters sealing the result.
However, despite the upturn in form, Nuno Espírito Santo’s side still sit 18th in the table, meaning relegation remains a serious concern.
]The January transfer window will be crucial — not just for bringing in reinforcements, but also for offloading players who haven’t made the expected impact.
And now, one of Europe’s biggest clubs could be ready to take one of West Ham’s misfiring stars off their hands.

According to a new report from Claret & Hugh, AC Milan are considering a surprise January move for Niclas Füllkrug — and could offer a player of their own in return.
Füllkrug’s £27 million move from Borussia Dortmund last summer has not gone as planned.
The German striker has struggled to stay fit and adapt to the Premier League, scoring just three goals in 24 appearances. His agent recently admitted that the transfer “didn’t work out,” hinting that an exit in January could be on the cards.
Now, Milan — managed by Massimiliano Allegri, a former target for West Ham — are said to be interested in bringing Füllkrug to San Siro. Allegri reportedly sees the 32-year-old as a low-risk, high-reward option who could thrive in Serie A’s more tactical setup.
The Italian giants are even open to including striker Santiago Giménez in a potential swap deal. The 24-year-old Mexico international, described by Allegri as “vital,” joined from Feyenoord in February 2025 for €32 million but has struggled to adapt, managing just four goals in 23 appearances.
Before his move to Italy, however, Giménez had been one of Europe’s most prolific young forwards, scoring 45 goals in 73 games for Feyenoord between 2022 and 2025 — form that had previously attracted West Ham’s interest.
Whether Nuno Espírito Santo would sanction such a deal remains to be seen, but with West Ham desperate for reliable goals, a swap involving a younger, hungry striker could prove tempting.
