Marcus Rashford was paid the ultimate compliment by those at Barcelona's 4-2 win over Celta Vigo after his two assists for Robert Lewandowski. The 27-year-old has now racked up 15 goal contributions in 16 appearances since joining the Catalan giants on loan from Manchester United.

Alongside his corner being headed home by the Poland international to complete a hat-trick, Rashford created two big chances on the left. Lewandowski guided home his first cross into the box with Lamine Yamal benefiting from another of Rashford's passes.

The latter did not count as a direct goal contribution with an attempted interception taking the ball into Yamal's path. Despite his influential role, Rashford missed some good chances to score and he also picked up a second yellow card of the season.

That booking was not because of a bad foul though, with Rashford shown a caution for time-wasting when he slowly departed the pitch after being subbed off for Ferran Torres in the 88th minute.

While it was likely done to run the clock down, Rashford's decision to slowly trudge off may have been done as he was taking in the applause with the travelling contingent all standing to clap his performance.

It was not a faultless display by Barcelona though, with two goals conceded for the sixth time this season. Barcelona were far better in the second half however, which prompted Flick to be asked about that 45-minute outing specifically.

"I always think to say something about the experts, former players and coaches, but no, I will not do it," Flick revealed while smiling when asked in his post-match press conference if the second period was an example of how to execute his playing style.

"I'll give you too many things to speak about and it's too much noise! But, yes, for me it's like that. We will analyse this match like we analyse every match and try to make things better. This is our job. Not everything was good; we will speak about this.

"For me, the most important thing is [the players] have the confidence and belief in what we're doing and the second half is a good example of how we want to do it."

On the overall performance, he added: "Yes, [I am satisfied]. I appreciate a lot what I saw today. At the moment, it's like, especially in the first half, we made some mistakes, more than in the second half, and they use it. Two mistakes for the goals.

"But what I saw, also in first half, we controlled the game. It was a really good match with the ball, and especially in the second half, we defend much better.

"I think the second half gives us confidence also for the next matches. This is what we need. When you can make pressure on the opponent it's a good way. We did it. I like what I saw, especially in the second half."
