Liverpool’s Hungarian football player Dominik Szoboszlai will have a wax figure at Madame Tussauds Budapest, joining the ranks of international icons displayed at the capital’s popular attraction.
The captain of the Hungarian national team and Liverpool star secretly visited the 250-year-old brand’s workshop twice, spending several hours in the studios, where numerous photos were taken of him and his physical parameters were measured, Nemzeti Sport reports.
Madame Tussauds Budapest will soon unveil Szoboszlai’s wax figure, that will have a permanent place in the exhibition.
This will be the first figure of the Hungarian player in the Madame Tussauds universe.
The figure will be on display to the public from November 19.
The institution’s press release revealed that the Madame Tussauds Budapest collection consists of over 60 figures, including world stars and politicians, as well as the greatest figures of Hungarian culture, sports, science, and history.
Szoboszlai will be among true icons, as the Madame Tussauds Budapest production also features wax figures of legendary football player Ferenc Puskás, three-time Olympic champion boxer László Papp, and three-time Olympic champion swimmer Katinka Hosszú. Eight-time Olympic champion sprinter Usain Bolt is also a “resident” of Madame Tussauds Budapest. Among international football players, wax figures of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo can be seen in the Hungarian capital.
