Nuno Espirito Santo reveals which two West Ham players he was ” delighted” with during Burnley…

West Ham United’s revival under Nuno Espírito Santo appears to be gaining momentum, with the Hammers recording back-to-back Premier League wins to breathe new life into their struggling campaign.

After a statement 3–1 victory over Newcastle United, they followed it up with a dramatic 3–2 triumph against Burnley at the London Stadium — marking their first consecutive league wins of the season.

Despite the positive results, West Ham still find themselves in 18th place, meaning the danger of relegation remains real. However, performances have improved significantly — showing more fluidity, fight, and belief than in previous weeks.

Now, Nuno has revealed which two players particularly caught his eye during the win over Burnley.

Goals have been hard to come by for West Ham this season — before their recent resurgence, they had scored just seven times in nine matches. However, with 13 goals in 11 games, the attack is beginning to click, and Nuno was quick to praise two of his key contributors.

Speaking after the match, the Portuguese boss singled out Callum Wilson and Tomas Soucek, both of whom found the net against Burnley.

“It’s a skill, it’s belief, it’s experience [to score goals like we scored today by reacting quickly in the opposition penalty area],” Nuno told West Ham’s official website.

“Callum and Tomáš, they have this knowledge inside of the box to occupy the right spaces. I’m delighted,” he added. “Callum, our striker, needs to score. His confidence is growing. It’s a good day for us, a very good day.”

With Wilson rediscovering his scoring touch and Soucek continuing to deliver vital contributions from midfield, West Ham look a far more confident and cohesive side.

If this attacking momentum continues — coupled with the defensive improvements Nuno has demanded — the Hammers’ climb away from danger may just be beginning.
