Liverpool midfielder Ryan Gravenberch has been shortlisted for the 2025 Football Supporters’ Association (FSA) Men’s Player of the Year award — a recognition that celebrates his key role in Liverpool’s title-winning season under Arne Slot.

The 23-year-old Dutchman played a huge part in Liverpool’s Premier League triumph, starting in 34 matches and becoming a vital figure in the Reds’ midfield engine.

His composure, work rate, and creativity helped steer Liverpool to glory — and now, fans have a chance to honor him for those efforts.

Gravenberch joins a strong list of contenders for the award, including Antoine Semenyo (Bournemouth), Declan Rice (Arsenal), Erling Haaland (Manchester City), Jean-Philippe Mateta (Crystal Palace), and Moises Caicedo (Chelsea).

Voting is now open until November 17, and the winner will be revealed on December 1.

What is FSA Player of the Year?

The Football Supporters’ Association (FSA) is the official voice of football fans across England and Wales. Representing over 500,000 members, the FSA campaigns for fan rights, fair ticket pricing, and better club governance.

The FSA Player of the Year award is special because it’s decided by fans — the heartbeat of the game. Introduced in 2013, it recognizes the player who has had the most outstanding year across English and Welsh football.

Past winners include several Liverpool icons, such as Luis Suarez, Philippe Coutinho, Virgil van Dijk, and Mohamed Salah, who has claimed the honor three times.

Could Gravenberch follow in Salah’s footsteps?

Liverpool fans know how prestigious this award is — especially given the club’s rich history with past winners. Salah, who continues to shine, has won the award more than any other player. Now, Gravenberch could become the latest Red to join that elite list.

The Dutch midfielder has grown into one of Liverpool’s most reliable performers, earning praise for his calm control and maturity on the ball. Many believe he’s only just getting started. If he wins, it would be another proud moment for both him and Liverpool supporters.

But with Haaland and Rice also in the mix, the competition is fierce — and the final vote could go right down to the wire.
