Alan Shearer was blown away by Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall’s performance as he named two Everton players in his latest Premier League Team of the Week.

Dewsbury-Hall assisted Michael Keane‘s goal in Everton’s 2-0 win over Fulham on Saturday, while also having a goal ruled out for an offside infringement.

Theo Walcott hailed Dewsbury-Hall as a “fantastic” signing for Everton as he reflected on the performance on Match of the Day.

Fellow pundit Shearer was equally impressed by Dewsbury-Hall in front of the watching Wayne Rooney at Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Dewsbury-Hall played 89 minutes for Everton in the rather straightforward win over Fulham, which helped improve the mood around the blue half of Merseyside.

Thierno Barry was praised for his display, but Dewsbury-Hall covered every blade of grass for Everton and was a key factor in the victory.

Shearer included Dewsbury-Hall in his Team of the Week for the Premier League’s website on Monday and said: “He was absolutely everywhere!

“Won the ball back on several occasions, scored a goal which was unfortunate not to stand and then produced a brilliant corner from which Keane scored Everton’s second goal.”

As well as assisting Keane’s goal that put Everton two goals ahead, Dewsbury-Hall also won 10 of his 14 duels.

And as highlighted by Sofascore, he also registered two key passes – one for Keane’s goal – and was fouled three times.

Michael Keane also included in Alan Shearer’s Team of the Week

Dewsbury-Hall was joined by Everton colleague Keane in Shearer’s team of the best XI players across this weekend’s Premier League action.

Shearer said of Keane’s display: “Showed his quality at both ends of the pitch.

“He crowned a dominant performance at centre-back by netting with a towering header for Everton’s all-important second goal against Fulham.”

Michael Keane impressed for Everton against Fulham

Keane registered a couple of clearances and completed 94.3 per cent of his passes, which only Grealish could better (24/24 – 100 per cent) among Everton’s starters.

It was indeed a colossus display from the centre-back and provides plenty of reason for Everton fans to be confident once club action resumes in a little under a week’s time.
