‘Think long and hard’ – Player told to consider Wolves exit in January

David Moller Wolfe has made only five Premier League appearances this season.

The defender last started a league game for the club back in August against Bournemouth. Since then, he’s come off the bench three times.

The Norwegian arrived at Wolves in the summer. He’s now been told to consider his future at Molineux, if he wants to play at the World Cup next year.

Journalist Yaw Amankwah has written a column for TV2 covering the situation of multiple Norway internationals.

When it came to the Wolves man, he stated: ‘Struggling to gain any particular trust for Wolves in the Premier League, and has only made one five-minute substitution in the four games played in the league since the last meeting.

“Unused reserve again against Chelsea on Saturday. But it’s not all grey! Played the entire dramatic League Cup match against Chelsea a week and a half ago.’

Speaking more about the 23-year-old’s future, Amankwah said: ‘[He] Should really think long and hard about whether it is not best to change clubs already this winter, if he wants to keep his starting place in the national team in a potential World Cup.’

An exit from Wolves could help the player, especially if he gets regular football elsewhere.

Wolfe has been a regular for Norway since 2024. Not playing at a major tournament despite all that will come as a disappointment to him.

His current contract at Wolves runs until 2030.
