Two Texas sports icons met Friday night in San Antonio, and the photo left the college football community stunned.

Arch Manning stands 6-foot-4, which is tall enough compared to the standard human height, but he literally looked tiny next to Spurs center Victor Wembanyama.
Their jersey swap has since turned viral within hours, showing just how massive Wembanyama looks against the projected first-round pick of the 2026 NFL draft.

Manning recently traveled to San Antonio during the Longhorns’ bye week to watch the Spurs take on the Houston Rockets. Manning attended the game alongside teammates, and his black Spurs gear suggested he is a loyal Spurs supporter. His trip paid off as Spurs earned an 11-point victory.

The Texas’ signal-caller also shared a photo frame with Spurs center Victor Wembanyama, who now stands at 7-foot-4 after growing at least another inch since last season. That’s a one-foot height difference.
In that frame, the two exchanged their jerseys also. Wembanyama held Manning’s Spurs jersey while Manning held a Wembanyama one. But their massive height difference became the talk of the town.

Manning, obviously at 220 pounds, always looks big on the gridiron. But he appeared noticeably smaller standing next to the French basketball star.
It was overall a good night for the home team, as the Spurs beat the Rockets 121-110. The Spurs’ center finished with 22 points, eight rebounds, four assists, two blocks, and a steal, improving San Antonio’s record to 6-2 early in the season.
Arch Manning’s Season and the Road Ahead
With a bye week, Manning finally got a chance to rest. This break could help him reset for the final stretch. The sophomore quarterback has improved as the season’s gone on, though his display was weak earlier in the season.
Through nine games, he’s thrown for 2,123 yards with 18 touchdowns and six interceptions with an over 60% completion rate. He’s also added 203 rushing yards and six rushing touchdowns.
Texas sits at 7-2 and ranks 10th in the College Football Playoff standings. The Longhorns face their toughest test next week in Georgia. The game will decide whether Texas can hang with the top dogs.

The meeting between Manning and Wembanyama was more than a quick photo op. Both young stars are learning to handle big expectations while building their own paths. Manning is fighting for a playoff spot with Texas, and Wembanyama is leading San Antonio’s rebuild.
