President Trump receives mixed reaction during Commanders-Lions game

LANDOVER, Md. (CBS, KYMA) - U.S. President Donald Trump attended an NFL game Sunday, flying over Northwest Stadium before a scheduled appearance at the Commanders-Lions matchup ahead of Veterans Day.

President Trump was expected to participate in the "Salute to Service" halftime ceremony to honor active-duty service members, veterans, and their families, according to news reports.

Footage captured by Benjamin Alvarez shows Trump on the big screen, with boos particularly audible as he speaks.

"Mostly boos, some cheers as President Trump is shown on the screens of Northwest Stadium during the Commanders vs. Lions game," Alvarez said in a post on X.

In a follow-up post on X, Alvarez posted a video of attendees reacting to Trump "issuing the Oath of Enlistment at Northwest Stadium."
