Social media has been awash with speculation surrounding the future of Karren Brady, and her role at West Ham United.
Brady’s net worth is not publicly reported yet is estimated at around £93 million (according to the Sun in January 2024). Sean, wrote in Feb 2025 that over fourteen and half years at West Ham, Brady has earnt a staggering £16.5m.
Brady formerly worked with David Sullivan and David Gold as managing director at Birmingham City when the club was sold to Carson Yeung in 2009. Yeung was later convicted of money laundering, raising questions about due diligence during the sale. During her time at West Ham, Brady has faced sustained criticism from supporters over perceived mismanagement, lack of transparency, and poor footballing decisions. These tensions have intensified in recent years.

Speculation grows over changes in the boardroom
Despite these controversies, Brady has largely maintained her position and influence in football and business.
Following a tense meeting with fans in September 2025, where the West Ham Fan Advisory Board issued a vote of no confidence, speculation grew about her potential resignation. However as Gonzo previously reported in Claret & Hugh we were informed that Baroness Brady would not be stepping down from her role. A defiant Brady also told Talksport in August that the current owners would be staying.
Hammers United also issued a statement this afternoon on X that they have not heard anything about potential changes at board level.
However, Geo, on the HammersChat YouTube channel commented earlier today that he had heard from two sources: One is convinced Karren Brady is leaving, whereas the other source didn’t state ‘Brady’ or ‘Sullivan’ but spoke to someone who deals with the legal side of things at the club hinting there is change on the horizon.
Whether things have changed since a few weeks ago remains to be seen.
As always C&H will only report when we have concrete information to update our readers.
