Browns staying confident going into the back half of the season | In the Trenches

Cleveland confident in its abilities

With the loss to the Jets, Cleveland fell to 2-7 on the season. However, players like Hickman and Pocic are staying confident in their ability to have success in the final eight games of the season.

Pocic said that while Cleveland lost to New York, there are still bright spots on the tape for the Browns to take from the game. As a result, he said that the Browns are going to keep working in order to try and fix the course of the season.

"The only option in this league is to just fight. Keep fighting. There's no other option," Pocic said. "That's all I know. That's all we know. To do anything else and not strive for wins and fighting (for) perfection, that's all we know."

Hickman mentioned how the losses are a test of the bond that the Browns have and the family atmosphere that Stefanski helped build. Because of the chemistry the Browns have with one another, Hickman said the tough conversations will remain tough, but Cleveland will learn from them to grow as a team.

Stefanski reinforced the need to improve as the Browns get ready to play the Ravens at home in a divisional game.

"Bottom line, we need to play better football on all three sides of the ball, and we're going to start doing that this week at home," Stefanski said.
