Former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Lance McCutcheon has been released by the Tennessee Titans, they announced on Monday.
The Steelers released him in September and he later found work wit the Titans, but that has now come to an end after he was cut.
McCutcheon joined the Steelers after they released Robert Woods in August. He was later cut when they signed Rakim Jarrett.
A preseason standout, McCutcheon made multiple catches with the second team offense and posted five catches for 66 yards over the three preseason games.
McCutcheon was with the Steelers for multiple weeks during the season on the team’s practice squad. He was released in November.
McCutcheon is a 6-foot-3, 203-pound wide receiver who came out of Montana State. McCutcheon, an undrafted free agent in the 2022 NFL Draft, signed with the Los Angeles Rams. He spent the entire 2022 season with the Rams. In 2023, McCutcheon started out with the Houston Texans but later joined the New York Jets.
He stayed with the Jets through the end of the 2023 season and into the 2024 offseason. The Jets cut him from the practice squad at the end of August.
McCutcheon ran a 4.57 40-yard dash coming out of Montana State. He was a First-Team All-Big Sky selection in 2021, posting 1219 receiving yards and nine touchdowns on 61 receptions.
