Charlotte restaurant rhymes away Panthers embarrassing loss with new signage

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - A Charlotte restaurant is rhyming away the Panthers embarrassing loss to the Saints on Sunday.

Dilworth Neighborhood Grille’s sign from Monday, Nov. 10, opted not to mention the game, instead reminiscing on the team’s Week 9 upset win against the Packers.

“Rookie kicker against the wind at Lambeau for the win,” the sign read.

The new memo referenced last week’s unbelievable win, arguably one of the biggest in years, instead of mentioning the 7-17 loss against New Orleans.

This season, New Orleans has one of the worst records in the NFL at 2-8, and their only divisional win is against Carolina.

Tyler Shough, the Saints’ rookie quarterback, threw for 282 yards and two touchdowns. On the other hand, the Panthers had 175 total yards of offense.

Previous signage

After a different game earlier in the year, Dilworth Grille referenced Carolina’s blowout loss to the New England Patriots on Sunday, Sept. 28.

“At least our punter can tackle,” the sign read.
