Depot After Dark: Chargers Legend Celebrating, Dupree Jersey Swap, Ravens CB Might Need Surgery

A Steelers Depot daily segment. A quick hit of some Pittsburgh Steelers-related stories that may not require a complete article, but nuggets worth mentioning and passing on to you guys.

Your Depot After Dark for Nov. 10.

CHARGERS LEGEND CELEBRATING

The Los Angeles Chargers beat the Steelers in Week 10. Pittsburgh came out flat, losing 25-10. The score could’ve been even worse, too, but the Steelers scored their lone touchdown of the game in garbage time. Their offense had its worst game of the season, with Aaron Rodgers in particular putting in a rough performance.

Former Chargers pass rusher Shawne Merriman was happy to see that happen, too. He posted a video on his Twitter of himself at the game celebrating his former team’s win. He made sure to let everyone know that he believed the Chargers dominated the game, captioning the video “BTA,” which stands for belt-to-ass. Merriman isn’t wrong. The Steelers definitely got punched in the mouth.

DUPREE JERSEY SWAP

Bud Dupree was a pass rusher for the Steelers from 2015-2020. He was originally a first-round pick by the team, and he played well for them. Then, he left in free agency to sign with the Tennessee Titans. He’s bounced around the league since then, but he landed with the Los Angeles Chargers last year. That means he played against the Steelers in Week 10. He even recorded a sack.

However, Dupree doesn’t have any hard feelings toward his former team. Appearing on the Speakeasy podcast after the game, Dupree mentioned he was about to do a jersey swap with Cam Heyward and T.J. Watt. He was teammates with both of them during his time in Pittsburgh, and he’s seemingly on good terms with them.

RAVENS CB MIGHT NEED SURGERY

The Baltimore Ravens had an ugly start to this season. They dropped to 1-5 at one point. It looked like their season was over, at times. However, they’ve recently improved. Currently, the Ravens are 4-5, one game away from the AFC North lead. Unfortunately, they could be losing one of their defensive mainstays for a little bit.

Around the NFL shared on Twitter that Ravens head coach John Harbaugh stated that corner Marlon Humphrey might need finger surgery. That would likely result in him missing some time. Humphrey has been with the Ravens since 2017, and he’s been one of their stars on defense. Missing him would hurt their defense.
