GREEN BAY, Wis. (WSAW) - The history between the Packers and Eagles is one of turmoil. Philadelphia boasts a three-game winning streak over Green Bay, including the last of their meetings, the 2025 NFC Wild Card Round. The offseason still found a way to pin the two against each other, as the Packers were vocal leaders in conversations surrounding the ban of the ‘tush push.’
Monday Night Football is just the place for a rematch between the two NFC foes. Both, controlling the clock early, the Packers keep the ball on the ground. Josh Jacobs gets involved from the jump, with five carries for 15 yards, but a Jordan Love 11-yard sack would close their first drive.
Philadelphia responds by marching down the field, completing all three of its third-down conversions. Jalen Hurts bursts towards the endzone, but Edgerrin Cooper punches the ball loose. Keisean Nixon recovers the football to end the Eagles’ march.
The rest of the first half would yield no points by either team. As the Packers put together a march of their own in the final minute of the second quarter, but a Love fumble would put the ball back in the hands of the Eagles.
Philadelphia will receive the second-half kickoff.
