One of the Eagles’ best players sustained a concerning injury against the Packers.
Eagles star offensive tackle Lane Johnson left Monday night’s game against Green Bay in the second quarter with an apparent leg injury.
Johnson was deemed ‘questionable" to return with an ankle injury, the Eagles announced.
Johnson, the 35-year-old five-time All-Pro selection, was blocking on a running play when Packers safety Evan Williams, trying to tackle Saquon Barkley, slipped into Johnson’s left leg.
Johnson went down immediately after getting hit. He hobbled off the field and briefly entered the blue medical tent on the sideline.
Johnson was later helped to the locker room by head of security Dom DiSandro and a trainer.
Obviously, losing Johnson is a big deal. The future Hall of Famer, even in his 13th NFL season, is still one of the best offensive tackles in the league.
Swing tackle Fred Johnson was inserted into the lineup for Lane Johnson at right tackle.
